COURT ORDER
Case File Number 5/05
Pre-trial Expert Report on the March 11 explosives
DATE: 5 March 2007
SUBJECT: PROPOSAL FOR A NEW ANALYSIS OF EXPLOSIVES
In relation to the court order of 6 February 2007 of the Criminal Court (Section II) of the Spanish National Court, in which the examination of the evidence proposed by the forensic services was agreed, regarding the possibility of incorporating an analysis of reference samples of the explosive Titadyn into the pre-trial report on the March 11 explosives, and in view of the response from the Secretariat-General for Energy of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade regarding the impossibility of obtaining reference samples (factory-certified) of the aforementioned explosive due to the closure of the factory and thus the suspension of Titadyn production. IT IS REQUESTED that the court agrees, if it deems it pertinent, to the following analysis being carried out:
To incorporate an analysis of the explosives from the so called “convoy of death” into the pre-trial examination of the evidence ordered on the March 11 explosives. This will require a complete and intact cartridge of Titadyn from the ones seized from the van that took part in the “convoy of death” to be released and submitted by a duly accredited and competent person.
Signed Miguel Ángel Santano Soria
HIS EXCELLENCY THE CHIEF JUDGE OF THE CRIMINAL COURT (SECTION II OF THE SPANISH NATIONAL COURT)
